About karla

Omaha has been home for us since 1973. My husband and I are originally from Buffalo, NY, but via a roundabout route, we ended up on the Great Plains, in Nebraska, in a city at the edge of the Missouri River. After years of taking pictures of our children and vacation spots, I decided to learn more about cameras. I took a few courses at the local community college, learning about f-stops, camera parts, film development and printing. Then came digital and I find myself more enthralled with the camera than ever. Photography takes me into several different worlds, and I love them all. I alternate happily between snapshots and creating careful compositions, most frequently just wondering what something would look like if I took a picture of it. Post-processing is a joy--I can spend many hours at it. With this blog I would like to improve what I do, and with practice I hope to improve how I see. The images are owned by me and no one is allowed to use them in any form or format unless I have been contacted first to give written permission for a specific use.

I hope you enjoy my images. Posting every day is not always possible, but I will try. I have been away from this for a couple of years, but am back again. I wander around Am3 visiting as many blogs as I can each day. I am enjoying this enormous group of photographers and the world we represent!
