and kitchen wicker...Posted by karla (Omaha, United States) on 29 March 2011 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. Have you ever worked on an image until late at night until you could make no more reasonable decisions, and then a couple of days later you look at the image and wonder why on earth you were spending so much time on it? This is still not to my satisfaction, but I here it is anyway. Well, that and a busier than expected weekend led me astray the past few days. Onward through the fog, as the saying goes...! :)) The top edge of this wicker rocker can be glimpsed in the previous posted image. That's embroidery work on the chair. Not sure if you can tell, but the window glass is old and wavy distortions are in it. The house displays life in the 1920s---I think I forgot to say. Thank you for visiting! Your comments and suggestions are very much appreciated. @john4jack: Thank you. Sure took me a while to decide not to do special treatment to it. @✿ Anina ✿: Yes, I wondered how old that wicker was. It looked comfortable. The family that owned the place had very few children around. The last owner was an only child, but she had three uncles raised there by her grandparents. :) @Ronnie 2¢: Thank you, Ronnie! Very encouraging words for me to hear!! @Maria Draper: Wow! Thanks, Maria, for your enthusiastic response to this image! That wicker rocker is where I would like to sit for a while, too, and dreamily look out the window. |
