Wonderful glimpse back in time! Great composition, love the ‘peephole view’ and the muted tones.

Ahhh . . those happy colorful days . . a kinda drabness has descended here, now.

20 Jan 2012 10:23am

@Ronnie 2¢: Yes, here, too....more like a "brown-ness". This image definitely struck a chord in me.

Anita from West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States

Do love that color!

@Barbara Kile: It's pretty striking! I was impressed, too, at nature's production. Sunlight also helped this shrub look more colorful.

@L'Angevine: Merci! Definitely a "sparlking" color, like fireworks. Thank you for your comment! :)

franz from Baden, Austria

what a brilliant compo and frame, with wonderfully mellow fall colors! i guess now everything looks a bit different ... ;-))

20 Jan 2012 5:05pm

@franz: Yes, quite different. Brownish and dullish, in fact. The color now is in the brown, tan and beiges with a touch of pink range, so one must search for the lighting and then relax into the subtlety of it all. Inside the house becomes also a bit more interesting. ;)

Richard Geven from Montferland, Netherlands
